Tis the season for Virtual Holiday Parties. Sunday’s #GoalChat was our 3rd Annual Twitter Holiday Party. Then, on Monday’s #GoalChatLive, Jen Ballard, Jen’s Virtual Parties, and I talked about how to make the most out of this virtual holiday season. Both of these events were fun: the essential element of any virtual party!
Jen launched her side hustle six weeks ago … just in time for the holidays. It’s the perfect solution for those who are over-Zoomed, but want to stay connected with friends and loved ones. Jen’s Virtual Parties & Playdates are activity-based experiences for kids and families. It’s a way to take your Zooms from conversations to celebrations.
Jen turned what she learned from her attempted family Thanksgiving Zoom party into tips for setting up your own virtual holiday festivities. The key is to plan.
- Send invitations a week or two before the event
- Do tech walkthroughs with those who need them (same as you would do for a business interview or event)
- Find a theme
- Send a list of supplies, so everyone can prep. For instance, ingredients for a recipe, game instructions, or craft supplies
- Assign a host to keep the party moving
