Self-Care is a commitment. It’s a gift to yourself and those around you. This week, I talk about self-care with Health and Wellness Coach Angela Miller Barton, Spiritual Intuitive Life and Business Coach Erin MacCoy, and Mindset Answer Man Cliff Ravenscraft.
Angela, Erin, and Cliff shared their own self-care journeys, as well as their thoughts on the value of self-care, how to get better at it, self-care during the holidays, and more. They also shared how they wanted to be known: Cliff for taking naps, Erin for being a heart-centered badass, and Angela for putting words to how she is feeling and having other people “get it.”

- Angela: Setting the guard rails on ourselves.
- Erin: The cornerstone for success
- Cliff: The act of genuinely putting yourself first
What Stops People from Practicing Self-Care?
- Cliff: It’s the margins. Most people are over-obligated and under-committed
- Angela: People confuse self-care with being selfish. A lot of it is actual aftercare. We wait until we are so depleted we have to take time off to recover.
- Erin: People are programmed to be external first; they don’t know how to say, “No.”

- Cliff: Meditate … in whatever form that makes sense for you. Start by meditating for one minute a day
- Erin: Change your energy by changing your perspective. Go outside and take a deep breath
