We talked about Livestreaming with Jim Fuhs, Fuhsion Marketing, and Chris Stone, Cast Ahead, on this week’s GoalChat. Among other projects, Jim and Chris co-host Dealcasters Live – I was a guest last year. They’ve both been on GoalChat before … this is their first time together on my show. We are all big fans of livestreaming, so this was a livestream love fest.
Jim and Chris offered a ton of tools and tips for getting started, as well as for leveling up your livestream. They also talked about ways to use AI tools for repurposing content.
Why Livestream?.
- Jim: This is the real you – there is no second take – connect with the audience in real time. Plus, it’s fun!
- Chris: There is too much polish and orchestration on your website. Livestream content makes you more approachable
Livestreaming Tips
- Jim: Pick a topic you are passionate about and then start talking; also decide, what is your goal for livestreaming?
- Chris: If you want to have more impact – and want to get found – turn on your camera; livestreaming takes effort and consistency
- Jim: Make sure you have good audio; keep it simple
- Chris: You can get a 4k webcam under $50 and put a light in front of you; start with what you have and learn as you go!

- Jim: Grab your smart phone and record yourself. Every day for 30 days
- Chris: Identify who your key audience is – demographic – think about the problems they have; your content is solving their problems
Final Thoughts
- Chris: Networking is an under-rated benefit of livestreaming
Jim: AI is not going away, neither is livestreaming – it will become more important because people need live in-person interaction
