Entrepreneurship with Seth Goldstein, Kim Miles & Robbie Samuels

On this week’s #GoalChatLive, we had a fun and engaging conversation on entrepreneurship. I was joined by digital marketer Seth Goldstein, Goldstein Media; event unicorn Kim Miles, Miles in Heels Productions; and virtual event designer Robbie Samuels, author of Break Out of Boredom!
Seth, Kim, and Robbie shared their entrepreneurial journeys, thoughts on what it takes to be an entrepreneur, and so much more. We had a fabulous time!

What is Entrepreneurship

  • Kim: Putting puzzle pieces together
  • Seth: Seeing the big picture
  • Robbie: Relationship development

Entrepreneurship Success Strategies

  • Robbie: Find someone to fill in the gaps
  • Kim: Acknowledge and excel at what you are great at
  • Seth: You need grit. Success takes time
  • Kim: Have confidence
  • Seth: Remember, failure is a good thing
  • Robbie: Networking is an insurance policy, put something into it each month

Goals from our Guests

  • Robbie: Ignite your network. Download your LinkedIn and/or get a list of your other contacts. Then, categorize them and reach out to your top contacts. First, ask yourself: Will they remember you, would you be happy to hear from them. If yes, then make three columns and score them (1-3), based on each of these questions: Would they get right back to you, what is their influence, what is their interest in what you have to offer. A score of less than a 5 is a backburner; higher numbers get immediate attention
  • Kim: Never waiver from your true self; don’t be all things to all people all the time
  • Deb: Write your mission and motto
  • Seth: Take your LinkedIn seriously. This includes having a background image (you can make one in Canva), a profile photo that looks like you, and a branded url

Final Thoughts

  • Kim: Have the cup the cup of coffee, meaning have the conversation. Meet a new person. You never know what could come of it
  • Seth: Be willing to give; and keep giving
  • Robbie: You’ve already met 80% of the people you need to know to be successful
