Collaboration with Chuck Anderson, Dave Jackson & Tim Lewis

This week on GoalChat, we talked about collaboration with podcasters and entrepreneurs, Chuck Anderson, EventAffiliates.com; Dave Jackson, School of Podcasting; and Tim Lewis, Stoneham Press. Collaboration comes in many forms from summits to podcasts to books. One of the best things about collaborations is they can be the launching point for other endeavors.

Chuck, Dave, and Tim share how they define collaboration, their favorite types of collaborations, tools, and more.

What Makes Collaboration Special?

  • Dave: Everyone has – and shares – their specialty
  • Chuck: Combined reach. It makes something possible that wasn’t possible before
  • Tim: Even if someone does the same thing, you can still work together

AI and Other Tools for Collaboration

  • Dave: Use a CRM – LessAnnoying.com – to make notes and to stay organized for following up with collaborators
  • Chuck: Use AI as a starting point for email drafts or to organize ideas for a blog post
  • Tim: Use image tools with ai – within an automation – to make graphics easier
  • Dave: A good use of AI is to polish already written content; let AI be a passenger, not the driver

Goals

  • Chuck: Reach out to someone you know – and haven’t communicated with in a while – and set up a time to talk
  • Tim: To grow your connections, find a Facebook Group or LinkedIn community; post/interact
  • Dave: Take the list you have of things you are going to start, and spend 15 minutes working on one of the things

Final Thoughts

  • Tim: Collaboration is good; you can achieve a lot when you work with others
  • Chuck: There’s no obstacle too big to overcome; you may be just one collaboration away from helping each other achieve success
  • Dave: Don’t hesitate to reach out to your dream collaborator, just because you think they are too big to want to work with you. Also remember, sometimes a “no” is actually “not right now”
